Happy Summer Solstice!

Today is the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year with regards to daylight. Starting tomorrow, the days will grow shorter until we reach the Winter Solstice where the days will begin to grown longer once more. Ironically, today is also the first official day of Summer. Even though the days will begin to grow shorter, due to "temperature lag", the warmest part of the year will occur in the next month or two. A similar 'temperature lag' occurs after the Winter Solstice, where the coldest art of the year generally occurs after the Winter Solstice and as the days are growing longer. Strange, but true.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Summer Solstice and very happy summer!

What My Dog Dragged In Today....a BAT!

One of my dogs dragged in a bat. As you may know, bats are very fragile creatures and are easily harmed or killed. I carefully scooped the critter in a bucket and put it where the dogs can't reach it. It seems to be in a stupor, or it's injuries are worse that I figured. Hopefully, the little guy will revive this evening and fly away.

Now, bats are used in Hoodoo. Their blood is used to create "Bat's Blood Ink", though that which is sold today in occult shops is nothing but red ink with possible fragrance added. Bat hearts and whole dried bats are also used in love spells. Fortunately for this little guy I have no desire to harm or kill an animal for magic purposes.

St. Anthony's Relic Stolen

Someone stole a 780 year-old relic of St. Anthony from a Los Angeles church recently. Ironically, St. Anthony is the saint most identified with the finding of and return of missing people and lost objects.

St. Anthony's Religious Relic Stolen

Hopefully, the saint will press upon the thief the error of their ways and they will be compelled by certain future life experiences to hastily return the relic, wink, wink. ;)

Gold & Silver Water

Gold & Silver water is used to draw wealth. It's extremely easy to make. Simply add one gold coin and one silver coin to a container of water. Set the container aside for about a month for the water to charge. To use, sprinkle the water around one's home or business as well as add it to one's bath. I would not recommend this water for drinking purposes.

If by chance one cannot acquire a gold or silver coin, one can substitute with any gold or silver item, such as jewelry. One can even purchase gold and silver foil from craft stores. Just keep in mind that though gold will not tarnish silver will. So make sure to only use silver objects that one wouldn't mind if they were to tarnish.
