The Hoodoo Truth: 99% Of The Work In Real LIfe Pertains To Healing

A commenter brought up healing and I think it's important for people to know this. Almost all of the work that people do in real life pertains to healing only. Sure, there are people doing the "magic" part, but most of it is healing work. There are people who have done healing work their entire lives and have never burned a candle or fixed a mojo. They were just taught the tricks to take care of a cold or flu, to stop a nosebleed, to heal bruising, to prevent lockjaw, to help with childbirth, etc. That's 99% of the work that is actually done by people in real-life. And this information is all passed down in the families and to trusted outsiders. Some of these people are open to the more magical aspects of the tradition, but a lot of them aren't. People are all different. So don't just assume that because a person knows a lot of healing tricks that they are also practicing the magical side of the tradition.

  1. Hey Doc for me this is true. I learned healing first then grew in my learning. Momma Starr

    1. Yep. Not only that but most family lore surrounds cures and tricks for healing.
