Prayer To St. Jude

Taken from he back of a pack of incense sticks...

"Most holy apostle, Saint Jude,
faithful servant and friend of Jesus,
the Church honors and invokes
you universally, as the patron
of difficult cases, of things almost
despaired of. Intercede with God
for me, that He bring me visible
and speedy help. May I receive the
consolation and help of heaven
in all my necessities, tribulations,
and sufferings, particularly
(state your request). May I praise
God with you always. In Jesus'
name. Amen."

  1. merry meet... i cant understand why u would be offended when being called a witch... i am a witch and i do not play games, hurt others or claim to be a live version of HARRY POTTER either... i work with herbs, candles, prayers and oils and some of my "projects" take weeks to gather information and things together, do research and nope, i do NOT buy over the counter things... i take the time to search out my own ingredients so i am positive that what i have gotten is the real deal... i do extensive research thru several dozen sites as well as thru the extensive and eclectic library of books i have at my home... i do however feel that your continued bashing of "witches" is not very kind at all... as in your work areas, we as witches also have the phony money grubbing fakes to deal with... i am a witch... i am a healer, helper and have the utmost respect for ALL life... i go to great lengths to avoid using things like goofer dust and instead make every attempt to protect those being harmed before exploring hexes, curses, death or harm to the offending party... i do make great effort to explore many sites and opinions before commencing any new project... and trust this is true, i have lately been investigating for the first time in my life, a harm to someone... short of it is: ex bf stalks, harasses, intimidates, destroys my property and also has many friends and pals to also do the same to me at his encouragement; police wont help, restraining order is useless with no way to enforce; situation has been going on for almost 3 years and this is a last resort... and yeah, i have seen a lot of misinformation spread thru many sites... when u do the research i do, glaring screw ups or false information become amazingly clear almost at once... and funny as it may sound, i do believe in God, Jesus and a heavenly hereafter as well as the downside.. lol... i would sincerely hope that instead of bashing people like me, u would take the time to educate on a real level... there is no such thing as too much knowledge... and i will learn until i take my last breath... maybe u could learn to weed out the fakes and frauds and then educate those who truly do wish to learn the truest and most honest of ways... silvermoon12771@yahoo.com

    1. "Silvermoon", you are not a witch in my book. You think that witch = person who does magic. That's not what witch means. Your religion was invented (made up) circa 1950. It is not "the old religion". What you do is no where near anything what the ancient pagans did. The original definition of witch is of an evil doer. The fact that people want to call themselves witches today represents a trend that is widespread, that of people claiming to be monsters. So we have people who claim to be witches, people who claim to be vampires, people who claim to be werewolves, and even people who claim to be unicorns and fairies. The biggest clue to indicate that your religion is completely made up and modern is that you have no true magical craft. The emphasis in Wicca is religion, not magic. So when it comes to magic you steal things from other real, valid magical traditions. For example, dressing colored candles with oils and burning incense does not come from your tradition. It's something you stole. Most Wiccans in the U.S. have resorted to stealing stuff from the practice of hoodoo/rootwork/conjure to prop up their "religion".
