Yard Asters, a.k.a. Lawn Asters, are a staple of fall. They pop up everywhere. They come out in Spring as well but are full force in the Autumn. I just love them. If you don't know what I'm talking about you can view an image by clicking HERE. I just love them! Most people view them as weeds, but not I. Like Dandelions they have adapted to constant mowing by growing very short. However, you can still find the taller varieties that are more like a tiny bush. They can get pretty big, too. So the yard asters have completely taken over many lawns in my area, a sign that fall is in full gear. It's just another sign that we definitely are in the Autumn season. If they weren't so small I would gladly pick them!
