Rapper Azealia Banks Comes Out Of The Broom Closet As A Witch

Azealia Banks is not a stranger to controversy. Now she is claiming that she is a witch. She's not talking about Wicca or any of the b.s. stuff invented by white people who then lie and claim that what they do is thousands of years old or is "Traditional Witchcraft". It's not. That's all b.s. invented in the 1950s. Instead, Azealia's talking about old-school African (and Jewish) folk magic and African traditional religions and practices.

Steve Wehmeyer Would Like To Share His Latest Work With My Readers

My readers may remember my previous blog titled, Unkus Identified?, where I theorize that the "Unkus" spirit from the work of Harry Middleton Hyatt, may in fact be the spirit of White Eagle. (If you haven't read the blog post click the link above.)

I included a link to author Steve Wehmeyer's piece on New Orleans spiritual altars and their Kongo elements. Well, Wehmeyer is back with a new work which he would like to share with readers. Wehmeyer authored a chapter in, Esotericism In African American Religious Experience "There Is A Mystery" edited by Stephen C. Finley, Margarita Simon Guillory, and Hugh R. Page, Jr.

Wehmeyer authored chapter 15 of the book,

Conjurational Contraptions: Techno-Hermeneutics, Mechanical Wizardry, and the Material Culture of African American Folk Magic

You can read this chapter by clicking the following link. Please be advised that there is a few hoops to jump through before you can read it. You can not simply view it at the site. You will need to download the pdf. Before you can download you will need to sign up for the site. You can skip many of the associated steps by clicking "skip step" at the bottom right of the page. Your tenacity will be rewarded. This is a fascinating read.

Product Reviews - Vandi - Break Up Oil

Brand: Vandi
Type: Oil
Name: Break Up
Bottle: Square, 1/2 fl. oz (14ml) bottle
Color: Pale Yellow
Label: A broken heart
Link: http://www.grandmascandleshop.com/12ozoils.html

This oil has a pleasant fragrance which is inconsistent with it's purpose. I felt as if this was an unattractive label design. The oil is okay but it's probably not something I would purchase again.

On a scale of one to 10, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, I give this oil a 7.

This likely concludes my purchasing and reviewing of Vandi oils. I mainly wanted to try them out as Vandi oils are hard to come by unless you live near a store that sells them. Online I am aware of only one store, Grandmas Candle Shop, which carries a good supply. They are better than Indio oils for sure. Most of the labels are attractive. Many of the oils are pleasant smelling. If you are interested or curious, by all means give them a try.

Product Reviews - Vandi - Peace Oil

Brand: Vandi
Type: Oil
Name: Peace
Bottle: Square, 1/2 fl. oz (14ml) bottle
Color: Clear
Label: A couple dining on the beach
Link: http://www.grandmascandleshop.com/12ozoils.html

This oil has a hair product like smell to me. The label was not applied correctly to the bottle. Overall I wasn't impressed by this oil but neither was I dissatisfied.

On a scale of one to 10, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, I give this oil a 7.

Product Review - Vandi - Fast Luck Oil

Brand: Vandi
Type: Oil
Name: Fast Luck
Bottle: Square, 1/2 fl. oz (14ml) bottle
Color: Green
Label: A hand holding money
Link: http://www.grandmascandleshop.com/12ozoils.html

This oil has a subtle, perfume fragrance. The imagery is nice but I thought this oil was just so-so. I much prefer my Fast Luck products to have that classic cinnamon fragrance.

On a scale of one to 10, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, I give this oil a 7.

Product Review - Vandi - Siete Potencias Africanas Oil

Brand: Vandi
Type: Oil
Name: Siete Potencias Africanas (7 African Powers)
Bottle: Square, 1/2 fl. oz (14ml) bottle
Color: Clear
Label: Classic "7 African Powers" Image
Link: http://www.grandmascandleshop.com/12ozoils.html

This oil has a subtle, clean smelling fragrance. For those unfamiliar with this condition oil, 7 African Powers in hoodoo/conjure is used as an all-purpose blessing oil. The purpose is decidedly different for those working in other magical traditions which honor the 7 African Powers.

On a scale of one to 10, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, I give this oil a 8.

How To Sabotage Your Conjure Work

If you are absolutely sure that you want to sabotage your work so that you are assured that your goal/desire will never manifest then I can help you. It's actually very easy. All you need to do is constantly obsess over the desire and dwell on it. So when you wake up in the morning it needs to be on your mind. You need to be dwelling on it all throughout the day. If you can combine anxiety and feelings of hopelessness combined with the inability to concentrate on anything else then that is best. If you can worry yourself sick then you are a pro! And when you go to bed at night make sure to constantly replay events in your head over and over again to guarantee that you toss and turn all night.  If all else fails, constantly tell yourself over and over again that you will not be successful. Repeat it to the point where you finally believe it. That's how you make sure that you are never successful and that any conjure work you do will be a failure.

This is sarcasm, by the way. If you want to be successful in conjure work, whether or not you are doing it yourself or hiring a worker, you can't act like this. You have to be strong. You have to know that you will see success. You have to be able to put it out of your mind and go on with your life. Because when the work manifests it will manifest out of the clear blue when you aren't thinking about it. If you continue to dwell and obsess over the work you are not only not giving God/The Universe time and room to manifest your desire but you are also telling God/The Universe that you don't deserve what you are asking for. Hence, you won't get it.

Pat Robertson Warns Against Posting Ultrasounds On Facebook Lets Demons And Witches Curse The Baby

The sad thing is he isn't lying. Witches, workers and practitioners of various magical traditions do indeed use pictures, including ultrasounds, obtained via facebook.  However, Pat's still a horrible person and he's starting to look like the crypt keeper at this point.

This should be Pat's new intro:

Help Save The Monarch Butterflies

If I ask you to visualize a butterfly in your mind then chances are that if you live in North America you will visualize a monarch butterfly. Unfortunately, these black and orange beauties are under threat. Since the early 1990s monarch butterfly populations have dropped by 90%, due mostly to human use of herbicide and destruction of milkweed habitat. Monarch caterpillars dine exclusively on milkweed and so if milkweed declines, so do they. The good news is that it is relatively easy to help save the Monarch butterflies. All we need to do is plant more milkweed. Below are two sites where one can receive either milkweed seeds or plants for planting. If you have open spaces that are capable of growing milkweed please consider donating to help save these beautiful creatures.

As you may know, each year monarch butterflies migrate thousands of miles into Mexico to escape the cold of winter months. In my state, the influx of monarchs in September and October, is a sign that Autumn is quickly approaching. I remember back in the 80s and 90s going outside and seeing dozens, if not hundreds, flitting to and fro. I also have many a memory of finding a fat monarch caterpillar. However, I haven't seen a monarch caterpillar since the 80s and haven't seen any monarchs for about 4 or 5 years now, which is quite sad. So let's fix this, folks!

For those who would like to grow milkweed for both the monarch butterflies and for magical and medicinal use, milkweed is used to prevent a person from entering a place by dripping the milky sap onto the doorstep while calling the person's name and denying them entry. Milkweed floss (the cottony part found in the seed pod) can be used to stuff pillows and doll babies. However, milkweed's main use would be in folk medicine where it was/is used for a variety of conditions ranging from the removal of warts to the treatment of dysentery, typhus, asthma and even skin cancers. Be advised that milkweed is toxic and should not be ingested. Skin allergies may result from exposure to the sap.

My Pet Peeves And Behavior I Won't Tolerate

I thought I would go over some of my pet peeves with regards to clients and how they behave. I pride myself on my professionalism and quite frankly I have to put up with a lot of b.s. from would-be clients. So here's a list of things that really get under my skin.

My Pet Peeves

1. Liars - I don't understand why the truth and people are often strangers. I've had would be clients lie to me about even the smallest of details. I even had one client who hired me for two works only to later reveal to me she gave me a fake name and a fake picture because she had warrants and was paranoid that I would for some reason turn her in. If you can't be honest with me then I don't want your business. There's nothing you can say to me that can shock me. I've heard it all. My clients come from all walks of life. My clients range from prostitutes and porn stars to well-off professionals. I even had a couple B-list celebrities as well. There simply is no reason to lie to me.

2. People Who Leave Me Hanging - This is one thing that pisses me off. If you say you are going to do something, then do it. If you can't do it then you need to email me to tell me that you can't do it or that you will be delayed or that something has come up. I'm sick to death of people leaving me hanging on for days or weeks. I won't put up with it. If you don't have the common decency to email me to let me know there is a problem and you can't do what you said you were going to do, then I don't want you as a client. This would make you a problem client. Trust me, I have no problems turning a person down for being inconsiderate.

3. People Who Are No Shows For Readings/Appointments - You or a loved one better be on a slab in the morgue or else popping out a new life into this world as that's the only excuses I take. If you can't email me to let me know you can't make an appointment for a reading or that you need to reschedule then know that you are on my bad side. If you do it twice the reading is cancelled and I will keep the money and you will get no reading from me.

4. People Who Haggle Or Complain About Prices - My prices are not high and are either at or below what other workers charge. If you want to haggle or argue with me I will simply turn you down because I don't need your business.

5. People Who Take Forever To Reply To Emails - I understand people are busy. I get that. However, if a client consistently takes days to a week or longer to reply to emails then something is wrong and there's usually something wrong with the would-be client. So I will question them, do you have a computer? Do you have Internet connection or regular access to email? What is your work schedule? Do you have kids, if so, how many? If the person responds that they have a computer or ability to regularly access the Internet and email, and is not working 24/7, then this is a sign to me that something is off with this person. There really is no excuse why it should consistently take a person multiple days to reply to an email. This is 2015. So I will give the person one chance and tell them up front that they need to promptly reply to emails. If they don't, I turn them down as clients.

FYI: If I turn down a client then unless I specify otherwise it's for life and not just for that situation.

Happy Friday The 13th!

Today's the day to bust out your rabbit's foot and four leaf clover! So many people truly believe that Friday the 13th is the unluckiest day of all. I, however, love it. I always try to take at least one risk on Friday the 13th. I feel the energy is a bit chaotic but that a lot of good things can come out of a bit of chaos. As I for me, I want to get down like the people in the video below. I've always wanted to throw a Friday the 13th party. Good Luck! :)

Product Review - Vandi - Black Art Oil

Brand: Vandi
Type: Oil
Name: Black Art
Bottle: Square, 1/2 fl. oz (14ml) bottle
Color: Dark Greenish Black
Label: A black flower
Link: http://www.grandmascandleshop.com/12ozoils.html

This is an odd one. Of course this is an enemy work oil. The oil has a nice perfume fragrance and quaint label artwork. That's the problem. This should be bad smelling and have a spooky or macabre corresponding label. To each their own.

On a scale of one to 10, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, I give this oil a 7.

Product Review - Vandi - Dragon Oil

Brand: Vandi
Type: Oil
Name: Dragon
Bottle: Square, 1/2 fl. oz (14ml) bottle
Color: Dark Pink
Label: A dragon
Link: http://www.grandmascandleshop.com/12ozoils.html

This is Vandi's version of dragon blood's oil. The use of only the word dragon probably indicates there is no actual dragon's blood resin used in it's making. That's okay because this oil is awesome, my favorite so far! It has a nice, clean, lily-like fragrance. The label artwork is really cool. The dye used is perfect and not too much as in Indio oils that it stains your hands and clothing. One could easily just plop a piece of dragon's blood resin in the bottle if they so wish.

On a scale of one to 10, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, I give this oil a 10.

Product Review - Vandi - Attraction Oil

Brand: Vandi
Type: Oil
Name: Attraction
Bottle: Square, 1/2 fl. oz (14ml) bottle
Color: Pale Yellow
Label: Man embracing a woman from behind and kissing her, possibly they are bride and groom.
Link: http://www.grandmascandleshop.com/12ozoils.html

The oil has a nice, perfume-like fragrance. The label art is nice. The fragrance is suitable for wearing on the skin. I was very pleased with this oil.

On a scale of one to 10, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, I give this oil a 9.

Product Review - Vandi - Holy Oil

Brand: Vandi
Type: Oil
Name: Holy
Bottle: Square, 1/2 fl. oz (14ml) bottle
Color: Clear
Label: Multiple candles burning
Link: http://www.grandmascandleshop.com/12ozoils.html

I can't place the fragrance but it has a fruity smell with earthy undertones. It's nice but not something I would wear on the skin. I'm not too impressed with the label. Overall it seems to be a good oil.

On a scale of one to 10, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, I give this oil a 8.

Testimony From A Client

This Aaron (fake name for anonymity). Aaron got a reading with me some time back and emailed me to let me know how pleased he was. He has since hired me for conjure work.

Sent: Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 9:57 PM

Subject: Re: Instructions

Testimonial:

I spoke with Doc a few months ago, when I was a few weeks into a new job. I had come to him for a reading and a mojo bag. He was pleasant and thoughtful, which I expected, but amazingly accurate, too - more so than I'd ever imagined. He was right about an amazing financial shift he saw coming for me - within months I received a sizable increase that really astonished me. He was right about the hectic and demanding schedule, how a specific woman would be my champion,  the aloofness I could expect from senior managers, as well as why they were aloof. He even went on to share details about my personal life, which I hadn't explicitly contacted him about. Those were right, too, from discerning an unexpressed desire to have children to seeing that I was in a stagnant relationship and intuiting the source of the stagnation. At every turn he was just amazing and helpful and perceptive. I wouldn't hesitate to ask for his help again. In fact, I already have. He has a real gift. I feel fortunate to have stumbled across him.

Very Sad News For Marie Laveau Fans

Starting in March, New Orleans will restrict access to St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 due to recent vandalism. As many may remember, Marie Laveau's tomb was recently painted pink by a disturbed teenager, causing an expensive restoration effort. Also, the ritual of making an "x" at her tomb has increased to the point that authorities feel they need to take steps to discourage such practice.

Starting in March, visitors will not be able to just go by themselves to the cemetery unless they can prove they have family laid to rest in the cemetery. All other visitors must accompany a tour guide and tour guides must register and pay a fee for the ability to take their tour group to the cemetery. The money will be used to purchase security cameras and pay for security guards.

This new change will likely bring an end to many of the rituals that take place at Marie Laveau's tomb.

Purchasing Spirits

There is a practice that has been occurring for a long time now that I feel I need to caution people against. That practice is the buying or purchasing of spirits. In all my years of being online I have seen this done time and time again. I'm not sure people realize just how common this practice is.

People who purchase spirits come in three varieties:

1. People who want to improve their lives.
2. People who want power.
3. Curious collectors

There are people who are hurting and genuinely feel that purchasing a spirit will remedy their situations. These people I strongly empathize with as I understand they are only and misguidedly wanting to improve their situation. The people who want power literally want to use an enslaved spirit to do their bidding, treating it like a genie in a bottle. The curious collectors are just ignorant people who think it would be cool to own a spirit. These are the people who buy all these "ghost in a box" and "haunted jewelry" on eBay.

When it comes to the spirits that are sold, I've personally come across jinn, fairies/elves, Native American spirits, Loa/Orisha and other ATR spirits, ghosts (earthbound spirits), angels/demons, and Tulpas (thought forms, spirits willed into being). Possessing any of these spirits is potentially dangerous, even deadly.

So who is selling spirits anyway? Well, the sellers of spirits tend to be the following:

1. Con Artists
2. Cultural Thieves
3. Black Magicians/Witches

I think everyone understands the motivation of con artists. They want to make a quick buck. I would almost hope that anyone who purchases a spirit would fall victim to a con artist as there's not going to be an actual spirit involved that could cause problems. Cultural thieves are the individuals who believe they have the right to appropriate deities and spirits from religions they aren't part of and perform rituals that they have never received initiation in or teaching thereof. For example, it's very common for New Orleans Voodoo-types to sell spirits such as Eshu/Ellegua to people, not just selling a cement head or statue, but the actual orisha himself, telling clients that Eshu/Ellegua is in that head or statue. They also like to sell ellekes (beaded necklaces) in a similar fashion. The good news is that in the majority of the cases there is no actual spirit in the statue, head or elleke, despite what the seller claims, because the person who made the items does not have the knowledge or spiritual power to commune with the Orisha. However, there is still a risk that the seller may have offended an orisha and that could translate to problems in the life of the person who purchases the items.

Black magicians/witches are the category of sellers one really needs to be on the lookout against. A black magician/witch worth his/her salt will indeed have the power to trap a spirit, usually in a stone, crystal, gem, bottle, etc. Stones and crystals are ideal containers for spirits as their crystalline mineral structures lend themselves to the storing of energy. I know this can be done because I've done it myself, not to create a slave but to be rid of a negative spirit that would not leave me be through any other method. This spirit that plagued me is now trapped at the bottom of a lake and will not be free until perhaps centuries after I'm dead. So I don't doubt this power. If I can do it the I know others can too.

So why is purchasing a spirit so wrong? To be blunt, when you purchase a spirit you are purchasing a slave. You are no better than a slave master. That's what you are. Spirits have wills of their own and you are acting to enforce your will upon them and making them do your bidding. You can buy a spirit that a powerful magician/witch/worker made for you. They had enough power to trap that spirit but do you have enough power to control it? Because if not that spirit will sense you are weak, weaker than the one who trapped it, and it will rebel. It will gain it's freedom an it will take it's anger out on you. Your life is going to go to shit and you will probably not understand why because you probably thought this spirit is "good" and was meant to help better your situation. Case in point, I was recently contacted by a woman who mentioned that she was under attack. I did a reading and I told her that she is being preyed upon by a demonic entity that was in a corner of her room. She didn't make the connection at first but eventually emailed me back to tell me that she had purchased a spirit that was trapped in a stone and that she was keeping it in a corner of her room. She ensured me that the spirit was "good", because she purchased it to help improve her life. She didn't realize the spirit had rebelled and was sucking her life force. So she ended up sending the mess to me for me to ritually dispose of it. Let me just say that spirit was nasty. It hissed at me throughout the entire ritual. So let that be a warning to people.

You don't need to purchase a spirit to better your situation. You already likely have multiple spirits around you that will gladly help you in your time of need. The spirits of your ancestors are extremely close to their kin. They can easily be asked for help in times of need. Additionally, one can form consensual relationships with spirits so neither party is being victimized and mistreated. Finally, one can properly join religions, such as ATRS, where worshipers are taught the proper way to interact with the deities and spirits. So there truly is no excuse for someone to purchase a spirit.

Finally, I want to urge extreme caution in purchasing spirits who were never human. Those are the most dangerous to possess and they tend not to have compassion for the human condition because they've never experienced it. Of the non-human spirits, Tulpas or thought forms, spirits willed into being, are notorious for rebelling against their creator/master. So be warned.

Help CASAA Fight The FDA

CASAA (The Consumer Advocate For Smoke-Free Alternatives Association) has put out a "call to action" with regard to contacting federal representatives in order to strongly urge the FDA not to include it's grandfather date for it's proposed e-cig legislation. If nothing is done and the FDA continues as planned, all models of e-cigs produced after 2007, which means any model that doesn't look like a cigarette, will be banned when the legislation goes into effect in 2016.

Please visit the link below and fill out the forms so that your federal representatives will know that you do not approve of such. If the grandfather date goes through countless people who have given up smoking and currently vape may be forced back to smoking. The grandfather date will kill people by leading people back to smoking cigarettes.
