I just wanted to publicly show my support for my sisters and brothers who are taking part in the Women's March on Washington today. Thank you all for standing in unity and sending a message to Trump and Washington to let them know that women's voices will be heard.
Additional marches are taking part today in most major cities across the nation. There is one at my state capital today as well. Below is a NY Times article with a map listing every location in the U.S. where women's marches are being held today.
If you are not able to take part in either the march on Washington or an event near you, then please take the time to show your support. Comment on social media. Grab your mother, sister, or girlfriends, and remind them of this event and of the fact that women can do anything when they stand in unity. When we are faced with a president who has made very disgusting comments about women, Hispanics, and the disabled, then we have to speak out. It's time to show him and his supporters that hatred, bigotry, prejudice, and sexism will not prevail.
Don't forget to wear something pink today!
